Tierney's Tavern & Claw Bar
Many generations of Tierneys have been involved in the history and legend that is Tierney’s Tavern.
The original Tavern was established in 1934 by my great uncle, Ed Tierney. Ed and his family lived in the house next to Tierney’s tavern on Valley Road in Montclair, New Jersey. Today, a cousin of mine still lives in that same house and yes, he is the latest Tierney to preside over the tavern. People familiar with Tierney’s know the motto well, it simply says, “Tierney’s Tavern, where friends meet.” Well put!
Naples, Florida is a long way from Montclair, New Jersey, but the tradition of family and friends remains. Come join us and see how a northern tradition with great history can be celebrated by a southern cousin.
